Cancer therapies often encounter therapeutic resistance, a persistent difficulty due to the complex mechanisms still shrouded in mystery. The RNA modification N6-methyladenosine (m6A), frequently implicated in epigenetic processes, has become a focus of attention as a potential determinant of resistance to therapy. Spanning the entire spectrum of RNA metabolism, m6A, the most frequent RNA modification, is implicated in processes like RNA splicing, nuclear export, translation, and mRNA stability control. The dynamic and reversible process of m6A modification is orchestrated by three types of regulators: methyltransferase (writer), demethylase (eraser), and m6A binding proteins (reader). We primarily focused on the regulatory mechanisms of m6A in therapeutic resistance, encompassing chemotherapy, targeted therapies, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy in this review. Afterward, we scrutinized the clinical potential of m6A modification for overcoming resistance and improving the effectiveness of cancer therapy. Moreover, we identified challenges in current research and discussed future research directions.
Neuropsychological testing, self-report measures, and clinical interviews are the instruments used in diagnosing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). A traumatic brain injury (TBI) is capable of inducing neuropsychiatric symptoms that share a marked similarity to the symptoms associated with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Accurate diagnosis of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) proves exceptionally difficult, particularly for practitioners lacking specialized training who frequently operate under tight time constraints in primary care and related general medical settings. Patient self-reporting forms a cornerstone of diagnosis, but the reliability of this data is compromised by the common tendency of patients to under- or over-report symptoms due to stigma or compensation motivations. Our effort focused on creating unbiased diagnostic screening tests that use CLIA blood tests, generally available in clinical settings. A CLIA blood test was performed on 475 male veterans who had been in warzones in Iraq or Afghanistan, subsequently assessed for the presence or absence of PTSD and TBI. Four classification models, using random forest (RF) methodology, were created to predict PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) status. The selection of CLIA features was guided by a stepwise forward variable selection method within a random forest (RF) framework. Sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, and AUC values were 0.659, 0.715, 0.706, and 0.730 for PTSD versus healthy controls (HC). For TBI versus HC, the values were 0.671, 0.681, 0.677, and 0.704, respectively. PTSD comorbid with TBI compared to HC displayed values of 0.635, 0.766, 0.739, and 0.742, respectively. Lastly, comparing PTSD to TBI, the values were 0.636, 0.747, 0.723, and 0.726, respectively. With the widespread implementation of COVID-19 vaccines, doubts persisted concerning the safety profile, the frequency, and the potential severity of Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI). A study of post-vaccination reactions from COVID-19 immunizations (Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, and Sinopharm) in Lebanon, during the vaccination rollout, requires correlating them with patients' age and gender. Secondly, a correlation must be established between the administered dose of Pfizer-BioNTech and AstraZeneca vaccines and their adverse effects.

During the course of this study, a total of 6808 AEFI case reports were submitted to the Lebanese PV Program. Among the case reports, a substantial number (607%) came from female recipients who were between 18 and 44 years old, being vaccine recipients. When comparing vaccine types, the AstraZeneca vaccine presented a higher incidence of AEFIs as opposed to the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. While the second dose of the latter vaccine was associated with a higher frequency of AEFIs, AEFIs linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine tended to manifest more prominently after the first dose. General body pain constituted the most frequent systemic AEFI for PZ (346%), whereas fatigue was the most reported AEFI for the AZ vaccine (565%).
